The Sag Rod is distinct from the Turnbuckle Rod or Clevis Rod. It usually requires a pass through of each component it supports, such as C purlins or Z purlins with diameters ranging from 12mm to 16mm. Sag Rods as Lateral Supports for Girts and Purlins. Z sections are widely used for girts and purlins. In many installations, sag rods are utilized to align these members for the connection of steel panels and limit the capacity to bend laterally and twist. This pass-through enables for take-up using regular nuts and washers. There is no requirement for left-hand thread at either end. This Custom Component adds a sag rod between two girts. It also creates holes in the two girts. There are two choices for adjusting the size of the nuts and washers. The first option sizes the nut and washer profiles according to the rod diameter.
